One day I will learn to update weekly I promise!

Well the last few weeks have been a bit of a blur! Year end accounts, VAT returns & a couple of fab sales have kept me busy! I'm working on a new line of stud earrings that have really inspired my imagination. I've attended a Gemmology course & learnt loads and I'm applying that into practice rather nicely! I've also learnt how to die press recently & much practice has resulted in almost perfection! Recycling virgin silver offcuts into beautiful pebble earrings means there's much less waste and much more fun involved. I'm slowly building my die collection but the themes so far include skulls, celtic designs, moons & stars & dots. Its difficult trying to standardise them but I'm getting there.

I've also signed back up to Lucy Walkers jewellery school just to help me work on more complexity in my gemsetting and having completed my first 'ring within a ring' harsh lessons were learnt but I made it! I love the black Jade Cobochon and when you move the ring, the facets I've put in the outer silver ring really do look like diamonds!

I'm just waiting on the arrival of a few more gemstones then I can offer these for sale at a competitive price given the effort and time involved. I hope everyone survived the fireworks! Our cats have gladly been in the last few days and were unaffected.

Have a fabulous November everyone!
